CHINA IMITATES BRITISH RANGE ROVER AND SELLS AT HALF THE ORIGINAL PRICE

China unveils an updated model of Range Rover Evoque with its signature body shape, lights and radiator grill and silver logo across the front edge of its bonnet, it was the spitting image of the British bestseller.

But in fact, it was a brazen copy of the hugely popular UK-designed ‘baby’ off-roader – and a fraction of the price.

Chinese carmaker LandWind launched its own £14,000 X7 at the Guangzhou motor show in China last week

Its uncanny similarity to the £40,000-plus Evoque’s distinctive design provoked an angry response from Jaguar Land Rover, which may take legal action to protect its brand.

The British manufacturer has just opened its first car factory in China in a venture with local firm Chery.



Jaguar Land Rover chief executive Dr Ralf Speth told Autocar magazine: ‘The fact that this kind of copying is ongoing in China is very disappointing. The intellectual property (IP) is owned by Jaguar Land Rover and if you break that IP then you are in breach of international regulations.’

But drivers looking for a fashionable car at a bargain price might want to wait for safety inspection results. LandWind’s earlier CV9 people-carrier scored just two stars out of five in European crash tests in 2010.

FIRE FIGHTERS IN AUSTRALIA RESCUES A WOMAN FROM A THREE-METER DEEP SINKHOLE WHICH OPENED BENEATH HER.

The 45-year-old was left floating in a pool of water after the earth collapsed in her back garden in Melbourne while drying her clothes.

The woman was able to attract the attention of neighbours and the emergency services were called. 

Paramedic Stephanie Palamberis told the ABC that at one point the woman's head was under water.

"The woman told us she was hanging washing out in the backyard at about 11.30am when the ground gave way," she said

"She fell with the dirt and mud, dropping about three metres and landing in waist-deep water."

Fire crews pulled the woman from the hole, which was around 60cm wide, and paramedics said she was not injured.

Neighbours in the suburb of Springvale have been told to stay indoors until engineers have investigated the cause of the collapse.

Cambridge University students are renowned for their intelligence so you would think they'd have more sense than to emulate Kim Kardashian.

But that's exactly what 12 undergraduates have done by volunteering to take part in a competition called 'Cambridge's Best Bums'.

One of the entrants uses Kim Kardashian as his muse as he replicates her infamous Paper cover by wearing long black gloves, a pearl necklace and little else.

WOMAN GIVING FREE TESTICLES EXAMS ON LOS ANGELES STREET

A woman has been giving a free testicle exams on Los Angeles street to raise £2,600 for Movember Charity. The counting continues....

 

'This was very awkward but it was all for a good cause as YouTube prank video group Simple Pickup took on the taboo nature of testicular exams.

Their video stars Marissa, an attractive woman in a novelty nurse's uniform and armed with a supply of rubber gloves and the offer to perform touch tests on men's genitals. 

For every taker, the group pledged to donate $100 (£64) to the Movember campaign and for every 100,000 views their video received over 30 days they would donate the same amount again.  

Not surprisingly, the Los Angeles street they chose to patrol with their sign simply labelled 'Free Testicle Exams' there were plenty of skeptical blokes. 

Comments such as the 'I just have a passion for testicles', in jest of course, no doubt didn't help.  

And of course there was a combination of curious looks from those wandering by and other taking out their camera phones to record the moment.

But there were six takers, meaning $600 (£383) for the Movember campaign, and five days after the video was first posted there have been more than 3.5million views on their official channel.That means a total ticking well over $4,100 (£2,600).

Marissa further explained that 'In all seriousness, we did this video to show that you are just as qualified as I am to give yourself a thorough examination,' 

'So, I want you to do it right now [as her two colleagues oblige]. So if you notice any lumps or swelling, visit your doctor immediately.

UPDATE ON THE TORTURED UGANDAN BABY

Sweet baby seen in a video being tortured by a maid is still alive as shown on the Bukedde TV. After a thorough investigation, the maid was identified.
 Read on.

The two year-old is seen terribly tortured by a maid we have been identified as Jolly Tumuhiirwe, 22 from Rukungiri District. The toddler’s father also identified as Erick Kamanzi, a staff of a reputable NGO in Kampala who released the video yesterday mid-morning.
The video captured by interior security cameras early last week at Kamanzi’s home of Naalya, reveals a breath-taking story where Tumuhiirwe is trying to feed the baby. It has been understood that the baby was sick at the time, exhibiting difficulty in coping with the rough and speedy rate at which Tumuhiirwe fed her.

Tumuhiirwe then turns to the porridge and started eating it. But the toddler could not contain the stuffed food down her throat. She threw up dreadfully. This prompted Tumuhiirwe’s wrath. She landed a hot slap on the kid before throwing her off the sofa, her face kissing the floor. 

Using a rechargeable torch, she clobbered her severely. Not done, she started kicking her and stepping on her back in turns. She finally gave her the last kick which sent her silent and unable to move. Tumuhiirwe then picked the baby like by one hand and vanished in the next room.

Father Arrested

According to family sources, Kamanzi last week came home and found some bruises on the baby’s behind. He did not ask what happened but he hastily went to review the cameras which, he had taken long to monitor. This was last Saturday November 15th 2014.

What he saw is what we have relayed above and uploaded on the video herein. Raged to the marrow, Kamanzi bounced on Tumuhiirwe and clobbered her to pulp. Done with it, he turned to tend to the baby as Tumuhiirwe ran to police where, she reported an assault case against her Master Kamanzi.

The Kiwatule police swung into action, raided Kamanzi’s home and arrested him. He promptly confessed to the charge before he was dragged to cells. After cooling down, Kamanzi asked the Cops to look at what made him clobber the maid. A mere look at the video changed the cops’ stance and released Kamanzi.  

The police chief spokesman CP Fred Enanga confirmed that Tumuhiirwe’s case had been taken over by the events. Reading the file number as CRB 1346/14 of Kiira Road, Enanga said Tumuhiirwe was yesterday charged under Anti-torture Act at Nakawa Court.

But Enanga hastily adds that police are contemplating on revising the charge and upgrade it to attempted murder. He said the Tumuhiirwe will re-appear in Court on December 8th 2014. Efforts to get hints on the baby’s mother were futile as family sources maintained silence on the question.

However, Kamanzi, the toddler's father is married to a beautiful Rwandese lady, Angella, whose reasons to stay away from her baby yet she doesn’t work, remains unknown. But this will be discussed some other time. The maid, Tumuhiirwe has been working with the family for only three months.

NANNY CAUGHT ON CAMERA KICKING, FLINGING AND ABUSING A TODDLER: WATCH THE VIDEO

A nanny from a town called Kampala in Uganda has been caught maltreating and abusing a little girl while the parents were off to work.

This nanny physically abused this child as she kicks, beats, fling, stepped on, hit her with an object and so many more. What a sad experience for this cute little angel.


The little girl’s name is Aneela and after her parents saw the video, her dad gave the nanny a very sound beating.

The nanny is now reportedly confined to a wheelchair and feeding through tubes due to the severe beating she received from the baby’s father.

She was reportedly arrested and remanded in Luzira Prison in Kampala waiting for her case to be reviewed.

The State Attorney upped her charge from child battering to attempted murder.

On the other hand, the source of the video has not been confirmed but people have been speculating that the video was shot on a nanny camera by a concerned parent in Uganda.

This is a warning to many Nigerian parents! Be careful of the kind of house girls/boys you bring to care for your child whether he/she is from a licence nanny organization or not. A terrible behaviour like this, should remind us to be vigilant and also keep a close watch on whoever is watching over your kid(s) to avoid a re-occurrence.
