74 SOUTH AFRICAN CORPSES RELEASED AFTER SYNAGOGUE CHURCH BUILDING COLLAPSED

74 bodies of South African nationals who died in the September 12th Synagogue building collapse, have been released to the South African government and will be flown to South Africa this night.

The bodies which were retrieved from Yaba and the Isolo General Hospital, were placed in mobile mortuaries as shown above. They will depart Nigeria via 2 chartered airplanes at exactly 11.50pm. Upon their arrival in South Africa, the corpses will be handed over to families of the victims for proper burial. May their souls rest in peace...Amen.

#BRINGBACKOURGIRLS CAMPAIGN VIDEO???

A month ago, more than 200 hundred girls were abducted from Chibok government school, Borno State by an Islamic group known as Boko Haram. Lots of Nigerian activist groups have been showing their concern for these girls as they parade on the streets of Nigeria everyday protesting for the safe release of these innocent girls.
The international communities are not left out in this protest as some choreographers in USA claim to show their supports to these girls in this video.
The question is; Does this video actually supports and promotes the ongoing campaign for the missing girls?

THE EFFECT OF SMOKING AND ALCOHOLISM AMONG TEENAGERS.

Consuming alcohol for the teens might be very exciting and feels great especially in the midst of other teenagers but the consequences of these actions continue to increase.

Alcohol consumption especially binge drinking has tremendous effect on the consumer’s health and the effect is much on the teenagers. Presently, there is a strong correlation between cancer and alcohol and evidence shows that more than 15% of all breast cancer for females and cancer of the larynx, mouth, esophagus for the males are related to alcohol.

The effect of smoking on the teenager’s life is also alarming because the teens will get exposed to much earlier ill effect such as premature aging of the skin (wrinkles), reduce fertility levels, impotence, stomach ulcer and cataracts. 

The effects don’t stop here as it extends into a long term effect of health issues for any teenager. Heart disease is a long term effect of smoking in teenage years and diseases like coronary heart disease, congestive heart failure, cardiovascular disease and lots more leads to death especially when experienced earlier.

Unfortunately, the consequences of these actions does not acknowledge  the present of peer pressures or willingly smoking or consuming alcohol since the effect remains the same for all teenagers.

LIFE AS A TEENAGER!

As a teenager, life appears to be full of fun and most teenagers are always eager to try new things which mostly result into facing severe consequences of our actions.  As a teenager, we get involved in several nonchalant and wayward activities such as smoking, drinking alcoholism, vandalism and lots of immoral attitudes which often degenerate into an act of hooliganism and thuggery. For these reasons, it will be of greater advantage to familiarize ourselves with the effect of these actions to our health, career, future ambition and the community at large.

  
Nevertheless, most of these activities continually increase everyday out of ignorance and peer pressure which could have been possibly overcome through a joint effort on awareness of this syndrome. Regardless of efforts made by parents, guidance and government in curbing this menace, the issue still remains paramount in the heart of the teens. It is however empirical that other strategies must be applied and delegated in orienting the teens on how to live an healthy and safe life style.
WHAT NEXT?
* Who are we to blame for these actions? 
* Is change possible?
* How can we make the change?
* Who will take the responsibility for change?
* Can these problems be totally eradicated?
* How will the future look like without a solution to these problems?
These and more questions needs to be answered before progress can be made.
